All of our Sentence Blocks are made in batches weeks — often months — in advance, and so they never have any relation to current events. While they may appear to correspond, their applicability to the goings-on in the world is not and never has been intentional.
However, this is neither here nor there. We want people to explore different kinds of writing using our Blocks. We want them to think about things that they usually wouldn’t think about, to confront fears and emotions through their writing that may be difficult to rationalize any other way. If a Block is able to create impassioned writing, it has done its job.
